Dash and Lily are feeling closer than ever。。。it's just too bad they're also an ocean apart。 After Dash gets accepted to Oxford University and Lily stays in New York to take care of her dogwalking business, the inseparable couple are struggling to make a long distance relationship work。 And when Dash breaks the news that he won't be coming home to New York for Christmas, Lily makes a decision: if Dash can't come to New York, she'll go to London。 But will Lily pull off the ultimate surprise--or will Christmas in London backfire?

This read better on in Kindle ebook format than actual book form。 It was still a little soppy in both forms, but I did like it。 Lily's mother & Mrs Basil E were more overbearing than I remember from previous books, & Lily was less mature but somehow also wise。 I loved Gem & Sir Ian, however I think something more could be added for mental health issues (not just Google suggestions)。(also I wanted to like Dash more, but the tv series has ruined him) This read better on in Kindle ebook format than actual book form。 It was still a little soppy in both forms, but I did like it。 Lily's mother & Mrs Basil E were more overbearing than I remember from previous books, & Lily was less mature but somehow also wise。 I loved Gem & Sir Ian, however I think something more could be added for mental health issues (not just Google suggestions)。(also I wanted to like Dash more, but the tv series has ruined him) 。。。more

The book explores the problem of self-identification where the main characters try to understand what they want to do in life and how to find their own way。 It clicked in me, as I was dealing with the same problems at the age of 19。 But I couldn't find my own way then, so I envy Dash and Lily that they could。 The book explores the problem of self-identification where the main characters try to understand what they want to do in life and how to find their own way。 It clicked in me, as I was dealing with the same problems at the age of 19。 But I couldn't find my own way then, so I envy Dash and Lily that they could。 。。。more

Christmas celebration was canceled (which that was odd)。 I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because it was good, but there were some scenes that were dramatic。End of review。 This book was fascinating。 Dash went to Oxford university and Lily wanted to go to London to visit him。 There were ups and downs I saw while I was reading the book like Lily's family thought that their(?) Dash and Lily’s problems became waaaaay to relatable this time around。 But in the best way。 I love how real these characters and their problems are and love the little adventures they go on。 Dash felt extra pretentious this time around though。 I also didn’t really feel like there was a resolution with Dash’s anxiety he experiences throughout the novel besides simply figuring out his next step, which isn’t always realistic。

This book was a little slower paced than the previous Dash and Lily books, but I wouldn't want it any other way。 Those felt like they were working towards different events and endings, while this was a little slower because they were exploring the world around them but also learning more about themselves, which is better when taken slowly。 I loved following along with their adventures and seeing their growth and change over the course of this series and especially in this book。 This book was a little slower paced than the previous Dash and Lily books, but I wouldn't want it any other way。 Those felt like they were working towards different events and endings, while this was a little slower because they were exploring the world around them but also learning more about themselves, which is better when taken slowly。 I loved following along with their adventures and seeing their growth and change over the course of this series and especially in this book。 。。。more

This was the last book in this series I think。 It was better than number 2 but not as good as number 1。 It started out rough for me and I had to decide to push through it to finish it or toss it。 However the last third of the book was much better。 I like my happy ending。 The drama of the first two thirds was as bad as book two。

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one was a disappointment。 Let's get this out of the way up front: this book has no plot。 Lilly goes to London to visit Dash and they individually fret over what to do with the rest of their lives。 That's the entire plot。 No real goal, no real conflict, no ticking clock so no suspense, no mystery。 No plot。A book with no plot must rely on great character development。 But these two characters, who I loved in the previous two volumes, com I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one was a disappointment。 Let's get this out of the way up front: this book has no plot。 Lilly goes to London to visit Dash and they individually fret over what to do with the rest of their lives。 That's the entire plot。 No real goal, no real conflict, no ticking clock so no suspense, no mystery。 No plot。A book with no plot must rely on great character development。 But these two characters, who I loved in the previous two volumes, come across as self-absorbed jerks for the entire first half of the book。The second half of the book is somewhat salvaged by some interesting character interactions )although not really between Dash and Lily), but these are based on a series of coincidences that stretch the reader far beyond any limits of credulity。 Everyone seems to know everyone else in this book, meet them serendipitously, and the entire world seems to be in London for Christmas。The last part of the book reads like a promotional brochure for Claridge's Hotel。 I've been to Claridge's, and it's very nice, But I don't need page after page of description of the various amenities, even if that did enable the authors to, presumably, write off the research on their taxes。Maybe Dash and Lily have simply aged out of the YA market。 They're adults now, and need to start acting like it。Audiobook note: same readers as the previous volumes, and they're fine except that this book forced them to put on fake English accents, and they really got annoying after a while。 。。。more

Two years after Dash and Lily get together and Dash is at Oxford and Lily is in her gap year before college。 Lily's surprise visit to London starts them both on a path of self analysis and future plans and it was angsty and fun and introduced some new characters that I quite enjoyed。 Two years after Dash and Lily get together and Dash is at Oxford and Lily is in her gap year before college。 Lily's surprise visit to London starts them both on a path of self analysis and future plans and it was angsty and fun and introduced some new characters that I quite enjoyed。 。。。more

Mind The Gap, Dash & Lily ⭐⭐⭐The third and final installment of the Dash & Lily story follows our love birds to jolly old England where Dash is going to Oxford and Lily who is taking a gap year decides to surprise him as a Christmas gift by coming for a vist。 Once again it typical YA contemporary romance where the characters don't communicate and then they work it out。 You get both Dash & Lily's perspective。 There were no real laugh out loud moments in this book like there were in the first two。 Mind The Gap, Dash & Lily ⭐⭐⭐The third and final installment of the Dash & Lily story follows our love birds to jolly old England where Dash is going to Oxford and Lily who is taking a gap year decides to surprise him as a Christmas gift by coming for a vist。 Once again it typical YA contemporary romance where the characters don't communicate and then they work it out。 You get both Dash & Lily's perspective。 There were no real laugh out loud moments in this book like there were in the first two。 But, it wrapped the story up nicely。 I hope they really continue the Netflix series。 📖📖📖📖 。。。more

I do enjoy these books so much。 Sure, they’re fun, quick reads, and at their most basic, YA romcoms。 But what i really love is the realness of the struggles the characters are facing and need to overcome。 In this one, it was all about making college decisions and weighing expectations (your own or your family’s) against the reality of your feelings。 College is not for everyone。 Even when college is the right choice, The College might not be the right fit。 Being able to recognize your own needs a I do enjoy these books so much。 Sure, they’re fun, quick reads, and at their most basic, YA romcoms。 But what i really love is the realness of the struggles the characters are facing and need to overcome。 In this one, it was all about making college decisions and weighing expectations (your own or your family’s) against the reality of your feelings。 College is not for everyone。 Even when college is the right choice, The College might not be the right fit。 Being able to recognize your own needs and feelings and be brave enough to face them and make changes when things aren’t going well are great lessons for young adults facing these big decisions! I liked book 3 but maybe not as much as book 1。 This is definitely a coming of age book as both Lily and Dash try to figure out who they are and what they want。 Dash's grandmother is a great addition。 3 star rating is due to the conflict between Lily and her mom。 I didn't like the family pressure on Lily to attend the same college as her mom nor believing she couldn't make that decision herself。 I liked book 3 but maybe not as much as book 1。 This is definitely a coming of age book as both Lily and Dash try to figure out who they are and what they want。 Dash's grandmother is a great addition。 3 star rating is due to the conflict between Lily and her mom。 I didn't like the family pressure on Lily to attend the same college as her mom nor believing she couldn't make that decision herself。 。。。more

I almost feel bad for disliking the first book。。。 I have become so attached to these characters, I just want everything to work out for them D: The book was written true to their personas, and I love seeing the contrasting in their inner monologues。 The small cameo by Boomer and Sofia was lovely, I wish that we had the opportunity to follow the characters back to New York, though。 As an upcoming college applicant, I would have loved to see how the dynamic worked between Dash & Lily and their fam I almost feel bad for disliking the first book。。。 I have become so attached to these characters, I just want everything to work out for them D: The book was written true to their personas, and I love seeing the contrasting in their inner monologues。 The small cameo by Boomer and Sofia was lovely, I wish that we had the opportunity to follow the characters back to New York, though。 As an upcoming college applicant, I would have loved to see how the dynamic worked between Dash & Lily and their families。 。。。more

Ehhhh。。。。I felt like the very end wasn't so bad。。。but the rest wasn't great。 I just felt like all the characters were so unlikable。 Lily's family were the absolute worst in this book。 In the previous two books they weren't bad at all but for some reason they had to be entitled controlling rude snobs in this one。 Lily built up an extremely successful business while she was still in high school & her family acts like it is some little side hobby with no future potential。 I really liked the first b Ehhhh。。。。I felt like the very end wasn't so bad。。。but the rest wasn't great。 I just felt like all the characters were so unlikable。 Lily's family were the absolute worst in this book。 In the previous two books they weren't bad at all but for some reason they had to be entitled controlling rude snobs in this one。 Lily built up an extremely successful business while she was still in high school & her family acts like it is some little side hobby with no future potential。 I really liked the first book but each book after has just gotten worse & worse。 I hope the series ends here or they at least bring back the vibe of the first book。Oh & Lily would 100% be vegan, not vegetarian。 As passionate as she is about dogs & all animal welfare, I find it hard to believe she wouldn't be completely vegan。 。。。more

Dash and Lily in London? YES! This anglophile is well pleased with this change of setting。 I honestly think this book is stronger than the previous one。 Gowing up is hard, especially when you're expected to follow a path already chosen for you, one you may not be keen on strolling down without a fight。 Lily has grown so much since the first book and I am so proud of her。 She has found her way in the world and even become an entrepreneur。 She is following her passions and I love that she explores Dash and Lily in London?
